Commercial Kitchen LPG Gas Detector Malaysia
A fixed LPG gas detector and alarm controller guide for Malaysia restaurants, hotels, food courts, central kitchens, canteens and institutional cooking facilities.
Prepare a Commercial Kitchen LPG Enquiry
Send the appliance schedule, gas supply route, valve and manifold locations, kitchen and cylinder layouts, ventilation and expected outputs. U-Tai Safety Malaysia can coordinate detector and controller categories with kitchen, LPG, M&E and facility teams.
Problem
LPG can release from appliance connections, valves, flexible connections, manifolds, regulators or connected piping during and outside cooking hours.
Detection Route
Map kitchen and gas-supply release points, then plan fixed combustible detection, remote indication and approved response actions.
Coordination Route
Kitchen extract, make-up air, LPG piping, fire systems and facility operations need a documented responsibility boundary.
Kitchen and Gas Supply Risk Review
Mark LPG appliances, isolation valves, flexible connections, pipe entries, meters, manifolds and regulators. Review the separate cylinder or gas room and the route between storage and appliances. A leak may occur while staff are cooking, cleaning or absent, so alarm visibility and response ownership should be defined for operating and after-hours periods.
This page focuses on LPG. If the kitchen uses a different fuel gas, the project team should confirm the target and select the applicable detector category rather than reusing an LPG assumption.
Recommended Detection Layout
Review credible release points together with LPG behaviour, extract hoods, make-up air, doors, floor features, drains, equipment and cleaning activities. Detector access should remain practical for approved functional checks, calibration and maintenance without exposing the device to avoidable damage.
The kitchen, manifold area and cylinder store should not automatically be treated as one detector zone. Different rooms, ventilation and responsible teams may require separate points and controller labels. Final placement follows official product documents and approved design.
Products Used
Relevant U-Tai categories include combustible gas detectors, gas alarm controllers and system modules for approved output or signal routes. Stand-alone local warning or controller-linked monitoring should be selected from the project’s actual alarm and facilities requirements.
This guide does not add a model range, alarm level, installation height, certification, wiring or interlock claim. Final suitability and compatibility must be checked in official U-Tai documents.

Alarm Controller and Output Logic
The controller can identify the kitchen, manifold or storage zone and make alarm or fault status visible to responsible staff. A project may discuss audible and visual warning, kitchen or facilities notification, ventilation coordination, approved gas isolation or signal forwarding. The final cause-and-effect must be agreed by the gas, kitchen, mechanical, fire and safety teams.
Define acknowledgement, cooking shutdown or evacuation, investigation, reset and fault handling. A relay output is only a component; it does not define the approved safety sequence.
Testing, Handover and Maintenance
Commissioning should verify detector identity, controller zone, local and remote warnings, fault indication and every approved output. Handover should include kitchen and gas-supply layouts, detector and controller schedules, cause-and-effect, manuals and maintenance responsibilities.
Use the installation guide and testing and commissioning guide for project preparation.
Technical Guide and Anonymous Case
This buyer guide is separate from the anonymous Commercial Kitchen LPG Detection Project Malaysia scenario and does not claim a named customer.
Commercial Kitchen LPG Detector FAQ
Where should an LPG detector be installed in a commercial kitchen?
Final placement depends on appliances, valves, pipe entries, LPG behaviour, ventilation and official product documentation.
Can one detector cover the kitchen and cylinder room?
Not automatically. The kitchen, manifold and cylinder areas may have different release points and ventilation and should be reviewed separately.
Can the alarm controller connect to ventilation or a gas valve?
Outputs can be discussed, but the final cause-and-effect must be approved by the responsible gas, kitchen, mechanical and safety teams.
What should a kitchen contractor send for a quotation?
Send the appliance schedule, gas supply route, valve and manifold locations, kitchen and cylinder layouts, ventilation and required outputs.
